How can we be faster and better than our competitors? Software, hardware and mechanical design libraries cover the vast majority of our designs and ensure that engineering can focus their design and testing on the new aspects of the design. R&D provides the platforms of technology with implementation and integration support for the design engineers for newest sections of the circuit.  Close integration between, engineering, quality, testing, and new product introduction teams means that these are not after thoughts—they are designed in from the start.

We provide a vertically-integrated manufacturing service—equipped with state-of-the-art plastic mold fabrication, automation technology, computerized inspection, automatic in-circuit, and functional testing equipment. Located in Southern China, our manufacturing facilities are strategically positioned to support international distribution and sales.

At Computime, we continuously exceed partner expectations by implementing control processes such as early design concept review, design quality audit (DQA), design for manufacturing (DFM), design for testing (DFT) and both design and process failure mode effect analysis (DFMEA/PFMEA).  Our independent advanced quality and reliability function ensures that every product meets our stringent quality requirements well before it is released for pilot production.

What’s our Early Design Concept Review all about?

It is getting the engineers at the design concept stage to present their ideas and defend their design direction to a selection of their peers from all areas of the company—design, quality, manufacturing, program management, purchasing—so that we can all be confident in the design direction.  We’ve found that by asking engineers to identify the three big risk items in any project mistakes and delays are avoided later in the program.  Cost, Quality and time to market can only be minimized through proper planning.

As a testament to our commitment to consistent quality, our facilities have moved forward from simply being ISO 9001 certified to obtaining various certifications and approvals for automotive and medical products respectively, namely ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 13485. Applying many of the lessons and more importantly the mindset embodied in those standards across our full range of production lines, our ANSI ESD S20.20 certification of conformity demonstrates an effort to eliminate field failures which might not be testable. In addition, our ISO 14001 certification is a natural incarnation of the Group’s commitment to the environment. We are also an Apple Inc.’s MFi program licensee and a C-TPAT Global Security Verification registered participant, which enable us to support our customers in delivering products compliant with these specific requirements.
