Meet the team

Comprising industry veterans across all areas of expertise, our leadership team drives Computime’s core values: problem solving, innovation, collaboration, integrity, and reliability. This talented group of engineers, designers and executives is responsible for spearheading the expansion of Computime’s electronic design and manufacturing services around the world.

Executive Directors

Ho Auyang

The co-founder of Computime Group Ltd, Mr. Auyang has more than four decades of experience in manufacturing operations, product management and development in the electronics industry. When he founded the business in 1974, his vision was to create a first-class technology company and pioneer new markets.

He currently acts as an advisor to our Chief Executive Officer, providing guidance on management issues. As the director and shareholder of Solar Power Group Limited – the controlling shareholder of the Company – Mr. Auyang serves as the Executive Director and Chairman of the Board. He also serves on several committees, including the executive, nomination and remuneration committees.

Before starting Computime, Mr. Auyang studied structural engineering at South China Institute of Technology (now known as the South China University of Technology), followed by an engineering position at the Ministry of Railways of the People’s Republic of China and several years in management with Chiaphua Group and International Containers Limited.

King Owyang

A thought leader and MIT graduate, Dr. Owyang joined Computime in April 2010, bringing with him over 40 years of experience in the electronics and semiconductor industries. He currently serves as an Executive Director, the Chief Executive Officer and member of the executive committee of the Company.

Holding a bachelor’s degree in Science in Physics and a doctorate of philosophy in the field of Materials Science from MIT, Dr. Owyang began his career at General Electric (US), where he held various technical and management positions. Dr. Owyang later joined Siliconix Inc., a leading Silicon Valley semiconductor company in California, where he led R&D and Operations teams before serving as the CEO for 12 years.

Dr. Owyang is a recognized leader in the Power Metal-oxide Semiconductor Field-effect Transistor Industry, with over 20 published technical papers and 25 patents under his belt. He has also received several awards, including Industry IR100 Award in 1979 and 1983; and the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award by Enterprise Asia in 2005.

Dr. Owyang serves as a director of Alpha and Omega Semiconductor Limited, a company listed on the NASDAQ Stock Market.

Dennis Au

With over 30 years of experience in accounting, finance, consulting, business development and general management, Dennis Au offers expertise in several key areas. He currently serves as Computime’s Executive Director, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the executive committee.

Before joining Computime in 2014, Mr. Au held executive positions in various publicly listed corporations in Hong Kong. He has since taken over responsibility of our newly established Trading Division: Computime Brands Distribution International Limited.

Mr. Au is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Senior Management

Matthew Au

Mr. Au joined the Company in 2015 as Chief Financial Officer. He has more than 25 years of leadership experience in multinational enterprises, and his international experience is an asset to the team.

Before joining Computime, he held senior management roles at several high-growth US-listed companies, including VP Finance at Gilead Sciences and VP Controller at KLA-Tencor and Tesla Motors. Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer of DiagCor Bioscience Limited in Hong Kong.

Mr. Au earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of California, Berkeley, in the US, followed by an MBA in Finance and Operations Management from the University of Chicago.

Wai Leung Ha

Dr. Ha is the Executive Vice President of Technologies of the Group and President of Cincinnati Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of the Group. Dr. Ha joined the company 18 years ago and has been influential in expanding new business units.

A true visionary, Dr. Ha oversees our R&D road map, having developed Computime’s first R&D centers in Shenzhen and Cincinnati. In the process, he has also patented a wide range of intellectual property in smart control and heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) fields. With his leadership, the company has established a strong technology foundation in the emerging Internet of Thing (IoT) market.

Dr. Ha is a chartered engineer and member of the Institute of Measurement and Control, the Institution of Engineering and Technology and senior member the Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He has over 30 years of working experience in engineering, research and development.

He’s also an exceptional scholar, having earned a master’s degree in Electronic Systems Design from City University of Hong Kong, a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Hong Kong, as well as an Engineering Doctorate in Engineering Management from City University of Hong Kong.

Jimmy Ho Pak Tong

Equipped with 25 years of HR experience, Mr. Ho is Vice President of Global Human Resources. He joined the company in 2014, following senior positions as Regional and Global Head of Human Resources at sizable multinational and local companies, including WL Gore & Associates, Novo Nordisk, ASML, Spotless Group and Lee Kum Kee.

Responsible for attracting new recruits and fostering leadership among the team, Mr. Ho has cultivated a performance-driven culture that aims to attract and retain talent. He has also spearheaded internship programs with leading engineering institutions such as MIT.

Mr. Ho graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and holds a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from the College of Dublin, National University of Ireland.

Minh Van Nguyen

The Vice President of Operations Finance, Mr. Nguyen joined the Company in 2011. He has more than 35 years of experience in the electronics industry, serving in various financial management roles at international companies listed on US stock exchanges.

Mr. Nguyen is a fellow of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He graduated from the University of New Orleans, in the US, with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a master’s degree in Business Administration in Finance from the University of Santa Clara, US.

Hamza Yilmaz

Dr. Yilmaz joined Computime in 2015 as Vice President of Engineering, overseeing a team of 180 engineers. He is well known in the electrical engineering industry for his expertise in Insulated Gate Bipolar (IGBT) and Power MOS Device technology in Power Semiconductor Industry.

As a senior member of IEEE, Dr. Yilmaz has published over 30 articles. He currently holds 182 patents, with more pending. He has more than 30 years of R&D and technical management experience having held senior executive positions with US-listed companies including Siliconix Inc (now Vishay), Fairchild Semiconductor, Volterra Semiconductor (Now Part of Maxim Integrated Products) and Alpha & Omega Semiconductor.

Dr. Yilmaz earned his Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas and a PhD in Solid State Electronics from the University of Michigan.

Bendick Leung Man Sze

As Vice President of Quality, Mr. Leung is responsible for maintaining, and continuously improving, Computime’s superior manufacturing standards.

Before joining the company in 2010, Mr. Leung worked in key roles in various business units at Philips for 20 years.

He earned an MBA from the Open University of Hong Kong and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada.

Kydd Chu Wing Kit

Mr. Chu joined the Company in 2017 as Vice President of Manufacturing. He has over 30 years of all rounded operational experiences, covering manufacturing, product development, sourcing, program management, quality, supply chain management and compliance. He has served in senior management positions with strategic leadership responsibilities in various reputable Hong Kong- and US-listed organisations. Mr. Chu graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and obtained his Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia.

Kevin Hou

Mr. Kevin Hou joined Computime in 2017 as Vice President for Control Technology Solutions, overseeing a team of APC, HVA, CIM Sales Business Unit, Business Development, Program Management and Customer Services.

Mr. Kevin Hou has over 28 years’ experience in business management, brand building, manufacturing and organization restructuring. Prior to joining Computime, Mr. Kevin Hou was the CEO of Integrated Display Technology and Sangfei Consumer Electronics. He has also worked in world leading enterprises including TPV, Lenovo, HTC, Microsoft and IBM with Regional or Global Executive roles.

Mr. Kevin Hou holds a Bachelor Degree of Business Management from National Taiwan University.
